Thanjavur Asoka Halwa
Asoka Halwa is popular sweetness inward Thanjavur District. This halwa is usually served inward weddings inward Thanjavur District. It is too known equally Moong Dal Halwa.
1 loving cup Moong dal/ paasiparuppu
2 tbsp Wheat flour
1 as well as 1/2 loving cup Sugar
1 tsp Cardamom powder
10-15 Cashew nuts
A driblet Food color (Red or orange)
1 loving cup Ghee
§ Heat a tsp of ghee inward a kadai.Roast the moong dal till raw odour goes.
§ Add 1/4 loving cup H2O to one loving cup moong dal as well as laid upwards inward pressure level cooker until it becomes soft as well as continue aside.
§ Fry the cashews as well as wheat flour separately as well as continue aside.
§ Now add together the dal into the kadai as well as and therefore add together inward the sugar.
§ After adding the carbohydrate the mix volition live on similar water.Now add together the roasted wheat as well as cardamom powder,mix well.
§ Add inward the color as well as mix it without lumps.
§ Add the remaining ghee as well as continue stirring.
§ Add inward the cashew nuts as well as mix well.
§ Stir good till it should function a not viscous paste.
At this phase take away the Kadai from the stove.
